Our collaboration with Savills on their Cork city centre project gave us the perfect opportunity to put our real estate hoarding design expertise into practice!
We were appointed by the property agent to design hoarding for their new luxury retail development in Cork city. Located on Patrick’s Street and Cook Stree t, two areas with high rates of footfall and visibility, the hoarding would be a key marketing tool for Savills. Therefore, we set out to develop a striking design that would stand out in a busy environment.
Our Approach
For all of our real estate hoarding design projects, we follow a strict process beginning with a site survey. This allows us to scope out the area and to identify any potential obstacles to the design or install. We also take measurements and pictures for mockups.
Following the survey, we entered the brainstorming and design phase, bringing our ideas to life. Combining our knowledge of the site with our research into luxury brands such as Chanel, Calvin Klein, and Gucci, our in-house graphic design team created mockups featuring a number of design concepts for the client to choose from. Once they had made their selection, we set out to fully develop the chosen concept. Considering the prime location and luxury target market, we created designs with proven high end colour palettes, typography, imagery and print finishes including a gold mirror vinyl and laminate hoarding.
We also included a quote by fashion icon, Coco Chanel, – “Fashion changes, but style endures’ – that would convey the high-end, stylish quality. Working with the client, we produced a number of iterations of the design to ensure the final result portrayed the development accurately. We also created mockups to give the client a real world picture of the hoarding.
Once we moved on to the installation stage of the project, we worked closely with the printers, PD Signs, providing them with full specs to install the signage with a high quality finish. Given our extensive experience with real estate hoarding, we monitored the installation closely and advised the on-site team, ensuring that the end result was exactly to the client’s specifications.
Another key promotional tool in Savills’ marketing strategy was a promo video featuring a timelapse of the installation and final result. Our team captured the raw footage and then edited it to suit the client’s requirements. We also captured and edited a suite of high-quality photography of the hoarding as further promotional materials for Savills to use.
